ABO Software
today released web-services support for application
integration in EDISPHERE 3.0. The release include support
for integration with Java Messaging Server (JMS) besides
Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in COM and
Java. It also include support for databases, such as
Oracle, DB2, MySQL and Filemaker. This release of EDISPHERE
provides EDISPHERE customers with more options to seamlessly
eBusiness enable their solution.
While web-services is yet to be mainstream in Enterprise
to Enterprise Interoperability space, Enterprise Application
Integration (EAI) using web-services for connecting
various business applications within an Enterprise is
very much mainstream. Large companies, who have multiple
such business applications are now demanding that their
EDI translators, which were traditionally B2B gateway,
also integrate various business applications within
an Enterprise.
“A web-services interface for application integration
coupled with strong XML and database mapping opens up
new market for us in the EAI space”, says Ajay Sanghi,
CEO of ABO Software. "EDISPHERE can be used as an EAI
hub to quickly connect ERPs, CRMs and SCMs together
within an Enterprise, besides its traditional use of
enabling inter-Enterprise interoperability"
“EDISPHERE 3.0 is particularly targeted towards Value
Added Service providers (VAS). EDISPHERE's any-to-any
mapping capabilities, including strong database mapping
capabilities, coupled with a very affordable and quick
turnaround time for their EDI implementations makes
us an ideal vendor for any VAS" said Sanghi.
